Instructions:
- 1- In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well mixed. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Place in the refrigerator to chill while you prepare the filling.
- 2- In another mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until well combined.
- 3- Fold in 1 cup of the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
- 4- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the chilled crust, making an even layer.
- 5- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- 6- Pour the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer, spreading it out evenly.
- Top the pudding layer with the remaining whipped topping, spreading it to cover the entire surface.
- 7- If desired, garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles for an extra touch.
- 8- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
