Easy Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup buttermilk (or regular milk)

1/4 cup plain yogurt (optional)

1 large egg

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Cooking spray or additional butter for greasing the pan

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. 1- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

  2. 2- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, yogurt (if using), egg, and melted butter until smooth.

  3. 3- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently stir until just combined. It's okay if there are a few lumps in the batter; over-mixing can make the pancakes tough.
  1. 4- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. If using a regular pan, lightly grease it with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.

  2. 5- Ladle approximately 1/4 cup of batter onto the hot pan for each pancake. You can make them smaller or larger depending on your preferenc.

  3. 6- Cook the pancakes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip them with a spatula and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown on both sides.
    1. 7- Remove the cooked pancakes from the pan and keep them warm. You can place them on a plate in a preheated oven at a low temperature (around 200°F or 95°C).

    2. 8-Repeat the process with the remaining batter until all the pancakes are cooked.

    3. Serve the pancakes warm with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, fresh fruits, whipped cream, or chocolate chips.
