ngredients:
- 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup milk
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions:
1- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
3_ Beat in the eggs, one at a time, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next one. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4- Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix, as it can result in a dense cake.
6- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The exact baking time may vary, so keep an eye on it and adjust as needed.
7- Once baked, remove the teacake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
8- Once the teacake has cooled, you can dust the top with powdered sugar for a decorative touch.
9-Slice and serve the teacake with a cup of tea or coffee.
